The Annals of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, Fascicle I: Economics and Applied Informatics was established in 1978 with the aim of publishing original, high-quality research in economics and related fields. Its areas of interest include in-depth analyses and applications of economic phenomena; the mathematical modelling of economic processes; operations research; mathematical programming; game theory; finance; management; accounting; marketing and customer knowledge management systems; statistical analysis methods and techniques; economic intelligence; knowledge-based systems; neural networks and nonlinear simulation; software tools for modelling and analysing complex economic phenomena; econometrics; and econophysics.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, which is part of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, was established in 1990. In addition to providing high-quality education and professional development opportunities, the Faculty conducts research on topics of significant academic and practical relevance and promotes the dissemination of its findings through scholarly publications.
